At the beginning of the pandemic (2020) I was commissioned by the Artists In Residence, a charity led by 2018 Global Teacher Prize winner Andria Zafirakou, to facilitate online workshops to Key Stages 1-4 and Key Stages 5 students, where I asked the students to look at their home environment with the intent to design a space to study, and to attend online schooling.
In the two workshops I shared some architect’s skills and tools with the students, to enable them to design a space following a similar process as architects do i.e. site survey, drawing (2D and 1 point perspective), and model-making of their chosen site and proposal.
